Finchley Central Art
(Branding)
A brand identity for a new gallery space that "suggests community and reflects local culture" was a key aim of the brief. Researching the local area led to a design inspired by 2 traditional art forms from two prevalent local cultures, then combining them to convey a considered visualisation of cultural unity—Jewish micrography (microcalligraphy) and Persian rug weaving. The design uses the name and location of the gallery space in small print (referencing micrography) to form patterns seen in Persian rug design.
